I had weird dreams about the future myself.... my family is also so paranoid (the girls like myself for the most part) can:

see the future via dreaming,
levitate into the air at night while asleep,
dream about the past,
only have one good dream in their lifetime,
have unusual nightmares (i.e. about a good dream at first, then turns to hell),
can see and talk to spirits,
communicate telepathically,
and starts having visions during daytime.
